Wilma Inez Wiles, 85, formerly of West Ridge Road in Eubank, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in Somerset. Born August 10, 1927 in Pulaski County, she was a daughter of the late Roy & Mary Elizabeth Blevins Estes. She was the widow of Thomas J. Wiles, a member of the Christian Faith and a member of the Ladies Auxillary VFW Post.She was also preceded in death by a brother, James Ennis Estes, a sister Christine Dunsmore and a grandson, Shane Wiles. Her survivors include a son, Jeffrey (Deborah) Wiles of Somerset, two daughters, Donna (Lawrence ) Bowling of Somerset and Cloria Jean Hood of Lexington, 5 grandchildren, Tony Bowling, Tracy Sizemore, Ryan Hood, Isaiah & Micah Wiles and 7 great grandchildren, Jacob Smith, Taylor & Addison Bowling, Addison & Avery Stiles, Allie Hood and Jaymes Sizemore.
John W. Bustle

John W. Bustle, 72, of Ike Singleton Rd. in Waynesburg, died Monday, August 13, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. Born April 10, 1940 in Laurel County, he was a son of the late Luther Walker & Zeldia Nicely Bustle. John had been a construction worker and enjoyed riding his mules and wagons. John's survivors include his wife, Janie Johnson Bustle, five sons, William Lee (Lisa ) Bustle of London, Thomas (Sally) Bustle of Danville, Michael (Tammy) Bustle of Crab Orchard, John Bustle of Waynesburg and Christopher (Amber) Bustle of Stanford, three daughters, Deborah Kay (Brian) Thone of Los Angeles, Pamela (Richard) Pool of Waynesburg and Melissa Jo (Tuan) Vu of Houston, Tx., four brothers, Virgil, Lawrence , Robert & Luther Bustle, Jr. all of Mt. Vernon, two sisters, Shirley McQueen of Livingston and Sally McIntosh of Mt. Vernon, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by Rev. Kody Mullins with burial following in Double Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Pool, Jonathan McWhorter, Brad Smith, Dwayne Goforth, Chris Bustle & Justin Hamilton. Honorary bearers will be Keith Mullins, Larry Williams, Brian Thone, Doug Mullins, Vernon Baker & Tuan Vu. Visitation will be from 11 AM till service time Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may go to the American Cancer Society.

Doris Benge VanHook, 94 of Waynesburg passed away, Thursday, June 7, at her residence. She was born October, 14, 1917 in Laurel County to the late Newt and Lula Westerfield Benge. She was a member of Eubank Baptist Church. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband; Vola VanHook, a grandson; Scott Sharpe, two great-grandsons; Josh and Trace VanHook, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include daughters; Lois Sharpe of Eubank, Ky, Debra Petrey, of Lexington, Ky, Jean Correll of Somerset, Ky, and a daughter-n-law Mary Jane VanHook of Eubank, Ky. Her son; Larry VanHook(Wanda Guinn) of Somerset, Ky. Her sister; Edith Jones of London, Ky and a brother-in-law Clyde Root of London, Ky. 9 grandchildren; Marsha VanHook, Pete VanHook, Stephen VanHook, Sandy Morgan, Michelle Roberts, Charles Correll, Joseph Correll, Chessie Petrey, Analisa VanHook, 9 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. Services will be 11:00am, Monday June 11, 2012 at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home with the Rev. Shelby Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at White Lily Cemetery. Hazel Manning, 88 of Bullock Lane in Eubank passed away, Thursday, May 17, at her residence. She was born, Thursday, January 28, 1924 in Pulaski County to the late John and Margaret Smiley Taylor. She was a homemaker, enjoyed playing various instruments, quilting, and a member of Buncombe Baptist Church. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband; Plano Manning, a son; Luther Ray Manning, and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include a son; Ralph Edward Manning of Eubank, KY, daughters; Glenda Haynes of Somerset, KY, Dovie Kimbrough of Oxford, OH, Carrie Johnson of Eubank, KY, Mary Eldridge of Eubank, KY, Alice Morrow of Eubank, KY and Cindy Beaty of Louisiana, 23 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren. Services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home with Rev. Delmer Whitter officiating. Burial will follow at Eubank Cemetery. Delbert D. "Bear" Spears

Delbert D. "Bear" Spears, 59 of Somerset, passed away Thursday, May 3, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in Blue Ash, Ohio to the late Luther and Claudine Larkin Spears. He was a self employed lawn mower repairman. Delbert leaves behind sons, Scottie Hodge of Eubank and Delbert D. Spears II of Irvine; daughters, Renee Huling, Tisha Nevels, and Cordelia Keith all of Somerset; brothers, Danny Spears of Waynesburg, Glenn Spears of Science Hill, and Dewey Spears of Eubank; a sister , Elaine Alsman of Science Hill; a companion Pat Lee of Somerset, and 10 grandchildren. In addition to his parents Delbert was preceded in death by a brother, William "Bill" Spears. Services for Delbert will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home with Bro. Carson Atwood officiating.

Velma Gourley Estes, 85, of Somerset Rd. , Waynesburg, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Stanford. Born September 9, 1926 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Coy & Sallie May Gourley. Mrs. Estes was a homemaker and a member of the Brookesville Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Christine McKinney, and her husband, Ralph Estes. Survivors include a son, Lindon W. (Nancy) Estes of Danville, a daughter, Monica E. (Jerry) Frady of Madisonville, Tn., a sister, Lois Ann Sims of Waynesburg, and three grandchildren, Tiffany Frady of Maryville, Tn., Marc Frady of Madisonville, Tn., and Crystal Estes Ellis of Danville. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by Rev. Chester Cornett. Burial will take place in Double Springs Cemetery. Lillian Sanders Jacobs, 84, of Parlor Grove Rd., passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at her residence. Born February 3, 1928 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Raymond & Lula Mae Oaks Sanders. She had been a former employee of Cowdens Manufacturing, worked at the Waynesburg Area Rescue Squad for over 20 years and had served as Sunday School Teacher for Parlor Grove & Pleasant View Baptist Churches for close to 50 years. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Greer, a grandson, Daren Greer, and four sisters, Bessie Mae Lane, Mary Jewel Lay, Lou Ellen Geabes & Dorothy Ann Burriss. Her survivors include her loving husband, Dallas Jacobs, three sons, Chuck (Judy) Jacobs, Roger (Janet) Jacobs & Kenneth (Edwina) Jacobs, all of Waynesburg, a brother, Raymond Sanders of Versailles, Indiana, 8 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren. Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, April 16, 2012 at Pleasant View Baptist Church by Revs. Aaron Hogue & Kyle Page. Burial will follow in Olive cemetery. Edith Mae Abbott, 93, of Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Somerset, passed away there on Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Born April 16, 1918 in Pulaski County, she was a daughter of the late Melvin & Cordia Payne Gooch. Edith was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Oran Abbott, and a son and daughter-in-law, Arlis & Linda Abbott. Her survivors include a son John Marvin Abbott of Indianapolis, In., three daughters, Glenda (Irvine) York of Eubank, Marilyn (Arlis) Taylor of Somerset, and Evelyn Fern (Otis) Noe of Somerset, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren & 23 great great grandchildren. Glenda Rae Blevins, 61 of Waynesburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 28th, 2012 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington. Born on Monday, January 29th, 1951, she is the daughter of Charles Homer & Elise Evelene Chandler Ball. Glenda was the widow of Robert William Blevins. She will be remembered for loving nature as she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church on Highway 328. She was a general store training manger for Dollar General Stores and the manager of the Mt. Vernon Dollar General Store. Glenda leaves behind her sons Robert "Bob" Blevins of Pendleton, Indiana, Charles Michael Morgan and his wife Katie of Science Hill, David Justin Blevins of Waynesburg; daughters, Ida Ellen Roberts and her husband Allen of Harrodsburg, Stephanie Lynn Olson and her husband Patrick of Bemidji, Minnesota; brothers Michael Ball of Anderson, Indiana, Victor Ball of Waynesburg; a sister Sharon Gooch and her husband Lonnie of Eubank; grandchildren Corey Morgan, Gabriel Creech and Leopold Morgan. Glenda was preceded in death by her daughter in law Martha Blevins and her brother Chuck Ball. Services for Glenda will be held at 1pm, Monday, March 5th, 2012 at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home with Bro. Zandall Hastings officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Ada Elizabeth McWilliams Payne, 90, of Eubank, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Wednesday, January 11th, 2012. Born on Sunday, April 24th, 1921 in Pulaski County to the late James Nelson and Syrena Ethel Smith McWilliams, she was known for Quilting, Embroidering, Gardening, and being a crafter. She was the devoted wife of Orville Gilbert Payne working along side him as a farmer's wife. She was a devoted member of Liberty Baptist Church being the 2nd oldest member and serving as a Sunday School Teacher. Ada leaves behind her son, Leland Ray Payne and his wife Gloria of Lakewood, Colorado; a daughter Anita Arney and her husband David of Salem, Indiana; a brother James "JC" Carroll McWilliams of West Chester, Ohio; a sister Lucille Larkins of Cincinnati, Ohio; 2 grandchildren Jonathan Arney & Elizabeth Bundy; 2 step-grandchildren Rebecca Holtzclaw, & Nadan Brown; 4 great grandchildren Andrew Arney, Anna Arney, Alex Arney & Eva Bundy; 8 step-great grandchildren Andrew Nicely, Tyler Thompson, Seth Thompson, Peyton Holtzclaw, Jessica Brown, Colton Brown, Devin Brown, Lucas Brown.
